Finally, the second volume of the National Atlas of Armenia has been issued. It is a rare & unique Album- Book. It is a scientific, political and historical work, which presents and illustrates the entire history and culture of the Armenian people. It is divided in 6 main sections: History, Religion, Culture, Armenian Colonies and Diaspora, Armenia in Old and Medieval Maps, Chronological Tables.
A few years ago the Government took the decision to initiate the creation of the National Atlas. With the Governments support and the participation of a group of scientists, the first volume was issued in 2006. We had no national atlas before that. Author of the work, academician Babken Harutyunyan said it presents the history of Armenia, including Artsakh and Diaspora. The first volume was published in 2006 after the Armenian government adopted a decision to create such a body of work.
